I think you are correct. The problem with this market is that some weather services get funding based on how important they percieved to be. I believe they deem it in their best interest to name more stormes than are actually significant. As was the case with at least one storm this year. I have been positioned all season for a low number of named storms, the only thing that makes me nervous is the possibilty of a named storm that would not be named or even mentioned in a year with 13 or 15 storms.
