Obama legalizes pot

Now he's made it official policy not to prosecute anyone who grows, sells, or uses marijuana in conformance with their local laws. This is a de facto legalization. Many states have written their laws so loosely that nearly anyone can get a prescription for unverifiable problems like insomnia and anxiety.

This is probably a good thing. Marijuana is not particularly harmful pharmacologically. It makes sense to let adults make their own decisions about it, as we do with alcohol and tobacco, while maintaining strict laws against driving under the influence.

By the way, if you want to make a ridiculous amount of money, I'd suggest going to California and starting a dispensary or grow operation, now that the legal "all-clear" has been sounded.

I know a lot of people who have done the migration or are planning on it.

Can you do a post about your take on the NJ governors race? it is one of the most traded contracts on intrade, and in my opinion, obscenley out of whack with reality. 65 for corzine? he may have the mo and may be rising in the polls and daggett may be helping out but hes still behind in almost every poll and has an approval rating that for an incumbent would normally spell certain death.
